Who were you before life told you what you were supposed to be?
Catchy question, huh? I thought so too! It's actually part of the book I'll be reading in my next book club! If you've felt silenced or have felt like you need to start living more into your full potential, this book might just be right up your alley. The back of the book says this:
Let's be honest: The Life you lead isn't what you've always dreamed. And maybe the person you've become isn't who you've imagined you would be. Sure, you can clean it up. You can work longer, love harder, and eat better. You can scrub the surface of your life until it gleams yet still never address that somehow you lost sight of who you really are and what you're living for.
I think life is too short to live doubting ourselves and our dreams. Talking about living our dreams makes me think of one of my absolute favorite quotes by Howard Thurman. It says, “Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
